Reconnective healing: What is it? How does it work?

By  |
Learn a new form of healing called Reconnective Healing. Stanford Professor Emeritus Dr. William Tiller says that when information carried through the Reconnective Healing Frequencies is introduced it creates coherence and order. This optimal state of balance comes after you are connected with a high vibration energy, light and information. Founder of Reconnective Healing, Dr. Eric Pearl, shares what Reconnective Healing is, how it works, and how you can discover, access, and become aware of your relationship with these Reconnective Healing Frequencies.

What is reconnective Healing?

Unlike the many other healing techniques out there such as Reikki, Healing touch, etc., Eric Pearl says that Reconnective healing is not a “technique”. He describes Reconnective healing as an art, science and philosophy.

“Although I’d been doing a lot of reading lately, what was happening to me didn’t fit in with any of the “energy healing” I’d learned about in these books. This was more than simple “energy”. This carried with it life and intelligence beyond the many “techniques” that fill bookshelves and New Age periodicals. This was something different”. Pearl, E. (2001). The reconnection: Heal others, heal yourself. Carlsbad, Calif.: Hay House.

How does reconnective healing work?

Here are passages from Eric’s book, The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself, that describes what he feels is happening during a healing:

“Somehow, when I interacted with people, I seem to be “igniting” a new level of receptivity designed to handle the new level of frequencies- this “light and information”- we are now being gifted with.  The realization dawned on me that an entire generation of new healers was coming into existence out of the pool of individuals I’d been in contact with” Pearl, E. (2001). The reconnection: Heal others, heal yourself. Carlsbad, Calif.: Hay House.

“What they (researchers) took that to mean- and this is a tentative hypotheses-is that while people are using reconnective energy, something is actually being absorbed.  They’re receiving energy, not sending it”. P109.

Who can be healed and work best with this energy?

According to Dr. Pearl, we all have access to The Reconnection energy.

“We all have the ability to carry this new frequency of healing. It’s not a gift for a few chosen people- gurus or “holy” men. It’s a gift of this time; the intelligence and wisdom we need to guide us is already in place”. P110.

It’s more about remembering that we have access to this energy and to get activated or attuned to it.

How does reconnective healing compare to other healing modalities?

Many healing modalities include rituals (prayers, calling angels) and protective processes (protective bubbles, sage smudging, etc) that Dr. Pearl says is not required in Reconnective Healing. In this book, Eric Pearl suggests that Reconnective healing is more love-based versus fear-based.

In my own experience with a recent back injury, I noticed that there are many healing modalities available today that can be confusing to the average person. Traditional Western medicine is about using pills to remedy the symptoms. So, with my recent back injury, if I had chosen a Western route, I just dose up on pain medications. Much of the Eastern medicinal practices that work (acupuncture, acupressure) with energy carry the presumption that the body works to heal itself when energy is flowing. Shamanism and Past Life Regression often works by healing at a spiritual level, as the basic premise is to heal the spirit and the body will follow. From my perspective, Reconnective Healing is a mix of both energy practices and Shamanism.

During the YouTube interview, Eric feels that Reconnective Healing should not be pigeonholed into the same categories as the other modalities. Here are some passages from the book that captures his understanding of how this healing works:

“It’s not the disease or infirmity that heals, it’s the person”. Pearl, E. (2001). The reconnection: Heal others, heal yourself. Carlsbad, Calif.: Hay House.

“Healing is also the restoration of the person to spiritual wholeness. In essence, healing is the release or removal of a block or interference that has kept us separate from the perfection of the universe. Yet, healing is about our evolution, and also includes the evolutionary restructuring of our DNA and our reconnection to the universe on a new level”. P109

What is the energy connected to?

In the video, Eric shares his experience with theenergy source of Reconnective Healing:

9:08 What is the energy that we are reconnecting with? Eric describes this energy as a force that connects to our essence and to the dimensions we enter into in between life times.

9:51 How would scientists describe what reconnective healing is?

21:44  What happens at the DNA level with Reconnective Healing?

In his book, he writes:

“We all come into this existence with limitations. As history would have it, humanity, as a whole, was long ago disconnected from the energy lines that attune us to our own bodies; to the energy fields of those around us; to the ley lines of the planet; and from there, to the energy grid of the entire universe”. P110.

Eric, as well as many other indigenous cultures, shares a belief that there is an invisible energy grid. In Shamanism, tuning, breathing, and uniting with the Earth and all living beings is the way to connect with the grid.

“To varying degrees, the Reconnection phenomenon takes us back, in our intrinsic memories, to this golden age, and ties us in to our original sense of profound connection with all of life. Yet it is not simply moving back; it’s moving forward to something new as well. From this wholeness comes healing. True healing. Evolutionary healing”. P110

John Perkins, a Shamanic teacher, shares a story about his conversation with a Shaman in the Andes of a modern day web of life in a world with technology and the Internet.

Why do you think this energy is now available for us to access?

Eric shares the idea of The Shift, which was predicted by the Mayans, the Incas, the Hopi, Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, and the Kabbalah as a potential explanation of why this energy is emerging now.

Here’s a quote from Gregg Braden pulled from Eric’s book:

“The Shift, represents a rare opportunity of collectively repatterning the expression of human consciousness. The Shift is the term applied to the process of Earth accelerating through a course of evolutionary change, with the human species linked, by choice, to the electromagnetic fields of Earth, following suit through a process of cellular change”. How does one get activated with Reconnective healing?

There have been many ways in which people have been activated. Dr. Eric Pearl suggests reading his book, The Reconnection to gradually become attuned or activated with the reconnective healing energy. An audio version of this book will be released soon.

In addition you can check out some of his world-wide trainings here: http://www.thereconnection.com/programs/

What is involved in reconnective Healing training?

Reconnective healing can easily be learned and taught because as Dr. Pearl explained, it is not the “healing” that is being taught. Traditional hands-on healing involves a practitioner directing and sending energy to the client’s issue. By doing this, the practitioner is “doing” healing work for a specific issue that needs to be restored (e.g.- back ache). Reconnective healing, on the other hand, deals more with a healing practitioner passively connecting to a client and embodying the source that activates the client’s innate healing capabilities.

Here’s how Dr. Pearl describes the process in his book,

“As “healers” we’re becoming a link in the chain of reconnection. The healing energy comes from Source- it runs within us, and through us, emanating from us and to us.  This energy is like light passing through a prism. We are the prism. We are joining the patient and the universe in the generation of a mutual field that consists of love in the most exalted meaning of the word- and a state of unity. The patients’ needs are recognized by the universe, which then supplies the circumstances that allow for the appropriate response to those needs. If pressed, I’d theorize that a patient’s vibrational frequencies somehow interact and respond to the vibrations coming in from the universe via our involvement. When the vibrations changes, so do all “higher’ particles and structures that the vibrations define. Is the lower vibration entraining to the higher one? Maybe. More likely, when these frequencies (the patient’s, yours, and that of the universe) interact, the waves may combine at such release points as to bring about a different frequency altogether. In other words, three frequencies may entrain to form yet a new one that wasn’t present in the original set- something that’s created out of their meeting”.  Pearl, E. (2001). The reconnection: Heal others, heal yourself. Carlsbad, Calif.: Hay House. P114

“As I see it, the sudden appearance of these frequencies on Earth seems to have something to do with the way time is changing.  If you are paying attention at all, you’ve probably noticed that time seems to be moving faster. Not only is time moving more quickly, but we’re accomplishing much more in what happears to be the same time frame.” Pg 103, Pearl, E. (2001). The reconnection: Heal others, heal yourself. Carlsbad, Calif.: Hay House.

What is a helpful mindset for practitioners interested in doing this work?

Eric dedicates a whole chapter about how important it is for those who engage in this healing modality to “get out of the way”.  He shares advice based on his own experiences with working with these energies:

“If you are a healer, or wish to become one, your task is to simply listen, then to open yourself up to receive the energy that allows you to become the catalyst for the healing of your patient.  The healing is a decision reached between the patient and the universe… When you “listen” as a healer, you bring this kind of receptive focus into your hands or whatever part of the body is acting as the focal point of the energies.  It is in this receptive state that the miracle of communication attains a whole new level.  ”. P113

“So imagine my surprise when I finally realized that for the healings to accelerate, I had to get out of the way and stop directing.  I had to step back and let a Higher Power guide…. Not only did the energy know where to go and what to do without the slightest instruction from me, but the more I got my attention out of the picture, the more powerful the response.” Pg 108.

“I am not a healer; only God is the healer, and for some reason, whether I’m a catalyst or a vessel, an amplifier or an intensifier- pick your word- I’m in the room. Receive; don’t send (the message that Eric got).  How do I know this is true? Simple: I tested it. If I tried to force things, if I tried to take charge of the energy and make it do this or that, then it stopped working. But if I stepped back, took myself out of the picture, and let the energy take over, the healings returned”. P108.

Why go to a reconnective healing training?

During seminars, Eric describes how the attendees spontaneously attune to the energies at an progressive higher levels of proficiency.

In his YouTube video, Dr. Eric Pearl explains that with formal training, students learn how to recognize the energy, work with it, and become familiar with it.

“ As I evolve with it, it is passed on to the participants in the next seminar at the newer, more elevated level. And since we’re all seemingly tied to the same communication hub, those of you who have been to previous seminars discover that you are automatically make these jumps as well.”
